Funnies from around the house...

I have not done an installment of funnies from around the house in a while.

This morning on the way to drop the kiddos off at school, I was talking to my sweet 6 year old about a friend of his who had recently gone on a cruise. I was told a few weeks earlier by my little guy that his friend was going on a Disney Cruise, but you just really never know if the information that you are getting is the whole truth and nothing but the truth or just wishful thinking by a playmate, or your own child for that matter. Not saying that either of them "lie" by any means, but you know how stories go with kiddos, according to my kids, everything is happening "tomorrow" in their minds.

So...back to the story. This morning when I saw the child in question walk in with his mom, I said something along the lines of, "I see that (insert name here) is back from his cruise, was he at school yesterday?"

Sweet 6 year old: "Yes."

Me: "That's good, did he have a good time?"

Sweet 6 year old: "Yes."

Me: "That's good. He did go on a cruise, right?"

Sweet 6 year old: "Yes."

Me: "Was it the Disney Cruise?"

Sweet 6 year old: "Yes."

Me: "So, he saw Mickey Mouse then?"

Sweet 6 year old: "Obviously!"

Me: "Alrighty then."

Sweet 6 year old: "So, what does obviously mean anyway?"

Oh good grief...and how do you explain "obviously" to a 6 year old anyway? Story of my life and I would not have it any other way.
