A few weeks ago I took Litle Booger to a "big brother" class at the hospital. I figured it might help with the transition to having a new baby. When we first arrived, the nurse spoke his favorite words."It's time for a snack." Well, that really put him in the mood for learning about babies, or NOT! From that moment on, I figured I had lost him, he was there to eat.
After a few minutes, the instructor put on a movie, "Sibling Sillies" or something goofy like that. He had no intrest in watching, remember the snacks...well, that is all he could think about. When he finally finished up, the movie was coming to an end and she told the children to get their "babies" from the table in front of them. I am not going to lie, by that time I was thinking yea right lady, like this is going to happen. Boy was I wrong...
It was time to change diapers?!? What? He WANTS to do this? Ok, lets give it a shot.
Next, we learned how to "wrap" the baby. He was actually really good at this. See the look of concentration? (The tongue!)
Now it is time to feed the baby, boy won't it be fun convincing him that this is not how we feed our babies?!?
All in all, it was a great day. I think he had a lot of fun. We just wish Daddy had been able to go with us to join in the fun. Stinkin work! He had lots of stuff to tell Daddy when we finally got back home. We have tried to really talk up this new baby thing, I think he is getting the picture, he talks about the baby too. I think he will make an awesome big brother, once he gets over the shock of us actually bringing that thing home! He has an awesome big brother and sister that he has learned from, lets hope we all adjust to having a new little one in the house again soon. We only have 13 weeks and 2 days till the big day!
