Ever feel guilty for the things you have done and know you shouldn't have, like feed your kids lunchables and put them in front of the tv so you can catch up on all of the blogs you follow, send them to bed without a bath because you just cannot handle them being up for one more minute, have dinner out just one more time this week because you are too tired/lazy to cook? Well don't, this blog carnival was created by MckMama as free therapy for those of us needing (or not needing) to let our hair down and come clean about all we have not done this week.
This last week, since Sour Apple was at camp, I did not find myself a bit happy when Tuesday came and went without a phone call from camp asking me to please come and get him because he was sick, since the last time he was there, that is indeed what happened. Nope, I would not be happy that my kid was feeling great and able to still particpate in camp activities.
We did not move our bedroom upstairs this week after many weeks of discussion, finally deciding that it would be easier if everyone was on the same floor. We are also not secretly hoping that it will help Boog finally transition back into his own room. Nope, we love the little monster and enjoy him hogging our bed snuggling up to us at night!
Since we moved our room upstairs, we did not make our old bedroom into a playroom for the little kids. We have not purchased shelving, cabinets and activity tables to make the room more enjoyable for everyone either. Nope, that would mean I am trying to organize and we can't have that! The kids have not absolutely loved having this room at the front of the house either!
I am not procrastinating plans for Tutti-Frutti's birthday party just because I am sad that it is quickly approaching. Nope, I am more mature and reasonable than that.
We have not (last minute) decided not to send Boog to pre-school this fall and homeschool him instead. Nope, we are not that organized or motivated. In making this decision, we have not also realized that it will free up more of our time to have field trips and outings for hands on learning.
We are not secretly happy that we have decided this, nope we were totally ready to let him spread his wings and fly off to pre-school.
It has not been so hot around here lately that we barely leave the house anymore. Nope, that would be boring and we are more exciting than that. Since we have not been spending more time at home, we have not been laying in bed in our new bedroom upstairs watching tv and movies as a family. Nope! That might be fun!
Since Friday, I have not been to 3 different Target stores and 2 of them were certianly not in the same day! Nope, that might make me look like an addict, and we know I do not have an addictive type of personality!
That's it for my week, remember we have not left the house! Now, hop on over to MckMama's and check out what everyone else has not been doing! Happy Not Me'ing!
It's not yucky hot over our way either! Ick! Happy Not Me Monday!

Best wishes with the homeschooling. We're starting HS this year, too.
ReplyDeleteWe have a play room for all the boys' toys and I LOVE it! It keeps most of the clutter out of my living room! I have been known to hit 2 Targets in one day before!
ReplyDeleteI love hopping. I like what I see... um read. You have a knack for writing. Hope you stop by.

As for me stopping by your blog again.... Deffinately! I'm following.
The playroom sounds awesome! I wish we had a playroom to keep all those toys organized and in one place! Good luck with the homeschooling! I'm having major anxiety about my son starting Pre-K this year!
ReplyDeleteI definitely was Not at three different Target stores either and I did not squeel at the undies and Hoodies being on sale, Nope.
