I took the boys to Houston Zoo's ZooBoo a few weeks ago. That should have been a post all of it's own, but I am just so far behind on everything that this will have to do. We had a great time. It was on a Sunday and we had planned on staying home to "catch up" and rest. Yea, like that happened. Daddy was at work and sister was not home so I thought it would be a perfect day to get some mommy and son time. The weather was great, for a change so off we went. We got there, only to drive around the parking lot and all of the surronding parking lots for quite a while, probably well over an hour before we found one. I felt so bad for Boog, he kept saying, "I guess we are not going to get to go to ZooBoo." Mommy finally won out and we got, according to Sour Apple, "Rock Star" parking. Yay mom, something finally went right. Well, there was that incident with having to wedge "The Beast" into the parking spot. (For those of you who do not know, I drive an Excursion, hence the loving name, "The Beast" so sometimes it is hard to park in close quarters but we did it!)
We got our spot, loaded up the stroller and off we went to find a giant candy corn!
You would have thought that this one would have been a little more excited. I mean afterall, we found a parking spot and got inside!
This one just needs a haircut, in a really bad way!
And this one, well...he is just cute. :)
My 3 little men. I love them.
We got some "tats" before we continued on our way.
Yep, he got one too. Dork! Ha!
My punkins at the punkin patch.
Love the faces they make.
He thought he was hot stuff, standing and playing with the pumpkins.
He picked out his very own pumpkin...
then he tried to eat it. Story of his life, pick up something, eat it.
The older 2 went to work decorating theirs.
Hard at work.
So much concentration.
The final product.
Hard at work.
He loves to draw.
As we went by the meerkats, one of my favorites, we saw this little guy (or gal) hard at work, trying to get into the speaial ZooBoo Halloween treat. He (she) was the life of the party to all of the people who passed by.
Moving on...Boog had a Fall Festival at school and he got to churn some butter, he had no desire to taste his work.
A different kind of churning. The kids were all fascinated with this! Who would have thought.
My one semi posed picture of the boys.
Hard at work stringing beads.
After the festival, we met a few friends at the Methodist Church, they have an indoor play area.
Tutti-Frutti had his way with a gator while we were there. He was too busy for me to get many shots there!
Moving on once again! Last night, Boog had a Trunk or Treat at his school. This is Ghetto Rapper 60 Bucks (Boog named him!) and he ended up taking home the prize for most creative costume! Yay 60 Bucks! We are proud of you!
The tired hatless scarecrow made a visit too!
While we were there, Anakin Skywalker ran into his good friend Indiana Jones. What a pair they were, they fought it out to the death (well, not really) and in the end...
Anakin really showed him who was boss. Look at those cool light saber moves.
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! The look of a win, with a side of chili and cheetos.
Posing by a "trunk" we visited.
And another, he was a little freaked out by a dancing skeleton that you cannot see in the picture. Haha. The things we make our kids do.
This one...well, it should speak for itself...needless to say, they won a prize for Most Themed setup or something like that. Well deserved.
This guy was handing out candy too. Scary...Oh, I should mention, as we drove up and got out, ready to head inside for hotdogs, lemonade and fun, a little (well, maybe not so much) older rather round man, dressed as Raggedy Andy, approached my husband (of all people) and asked if he would mind giving him a hand. We looked a little worried...you know, we tell our children not to talk to people like this (Haha, not really) anyway, the man asked him if he would mind fastening up the back of his Andy suit! Priceless...and to top it off, the man and his wife (dressed up as Raggedy Ann, or course) won prize too. Of course my husband thought he should have gotten some kind of recognition for lending a helping hand, I mean afterall, if it had not been for him, the guy would not have been totally "in character!"
More pics later after our fun night of Trick or Treating!
Happy Halloween everyone! Have a fun and safe night!
