Not me! Monday

Welcome to Not me! Monday, where we can be brutally honest and live to tell about it.

First let me start by saying, it is not my kids spring break this week! Woo hoo! I am not excited either.

I am not tickled pink that I do not have to set an alarm clock for 9 whole days! Nope, not me! I love the sound of the crazy alarm clock going off when it is still dark outside.

It is not my kids who, since daylight savings time began, that have slept until 7:30 or 8! No reason to get excited over that one, it is technically the same time they normally get up but there is just something comforting about seeing a 7 or 8 that makes it easier to get up and face the day.

Today, we are not expecting a friend and her 2 boys to come over and spend most of the week in town! This is not one of my dear friends from high school that I do not get to see nearly enough. We are not so excited we can barely contain ourselves. Nope, the kids were not up at 7 asking when they would get here!

Tonight, we are not going to grill burgers and hotdogs to celebrate their arrival either. Nope...not gonna happen.

I did not go buy the little boys some summer clothes last week because our weather went from snow one week to 85 the next, only to return this week to highs in the low 70's. Nope, I wait until I am sure the warm weather is sure to stick around before I submit to panic mode and go nuts looking for the latest in summer fashion. Oh, and I have not done this EXACT SAME THING EVERY YEAR for as long as I can remember either.
