Tooth fairy time...

Our baby lost his very first tooth last week!! Well, technically he did not lose it because we actually had to go to the dentist to have it pulled, but you get the idea. The tooth had been loose for about a month and he was so excited. Every day he would come to us to check it to see if it was ready. The tooth coming in below it decided that it wanted to try to come in behind the loose tooth instead of coming in where it was supposed to. I made the appointment and told him that he had until last Monday to get the tooth out on his own. Needless to say, Monday rolled around and it was still there, hanging on for dear life. He was due for a cleaning anyway so it all worked out really well. He was such a brave little trooper, he did an awesome job. He never cried, he just laid there on the table like a big boy and the dentist pulled it right out. He was so excited!!

When he first noticed that the tooth was loose, we started talking about the tooth fairy coming to see him. I had seen a tooth fairy pillow online and thought it was super cute. I had him pick the pillow that he liked and we ordered it. He has been sleeping with the pillow ever since. He was so excited to finally get to use his Pirate Tooth Pillow.

I do not know how the little tooth was hanging on in there, there were barely any roots left and the tooth itself was super tiny. It was a very special tooth, he got it right after he was born! We actually went to the dentist when he was about 2 weeks old and they tried pulling it but it was hanging on for dear life. The dentist was afraid that it would not last very long and that it might come out long before it was supposed to. They were all really excited on Monday when we went in and the tooth was still there.

Getting ready to go to bed so the tooth fairy could come. Mommy was excited about the tooth fairy coming too. I was holding out hope that it might actually be The Rock! Needless to say, I sat up all night long waiting, hoping it would be him. *sigh*

He is the cutest little snaggle tooth kid I know!!

Not really sure what this look is all about but it sure was cute!
