Feeling guilty for not doing things you know you should have been? Are you feeling guilty for letting your young children spend the entire day in their pajamas, then sleeping in them because it is too hot outside to do anything anyway? What about not answering phone calls from your friends simply because you are not in the mood to talk? Well don't; instead, join us for Not Me! Monday, it was born out of a desire to admit imperfections and reveal a few moments we'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing! When you are finished here, hop on over to My Charming Kids and see what everyone else has not been doing!
This week, I have not, yet again, failed to catch up on my laundry. Nope, not me! I am the picture of perfect housekeeping!
I have not been hung in some kind of post vacation funk and been moping around the house, refusing to leave, or do anything. Nope, I am cheerful and happy all of the time.
I have not been procrastinating planning Tutti-Frutti's very first birthday party that should be scheduled for the end of next month. Nope, I am organized and on top of things, and besides, there is no way that my baby will even be turning one next month. He is still a precious tiny baby and he is not growing older and bigger (and of course cuter) by the day.
He is not crawling all over the house wreaking havoc on our poor helpless dog. He is also not trying to pull himself up on to things. Nope, not my tiny baby.
I am not still (on Sunday evening) trying to decide for sure if I am going to take my kids to/volunteer at our church's vacation bible school this week. Nope, I know things like this months ahead of time. I would never dream of showing up unannounced to proclaim that I am there to help.
I did not have the most awesome visit with my dear friend and his 10 year old nephew this week. I was not terribly sad that they had to leave Saturday morning and my kids have not been asking daily when they will be coming back. We did not have a great time and we do not wish that they were still here. Nope, we are a family that likes to be home alone!
We did not manage to drag ourselves from the house a few days this week to make it to the YMCA pool a few times. We did not have a great time and it was not a horrible amount of trouble to suit and sunblock the children each time. The first time, I did not go to the pool and take 5 children, the next day there were not 6 of them and the last day, we were not back down to 5. Good thing too, that is a lot of sunblock!
I think that wraps up my Not me's for now. I am sure there are a lot of other things I need to confess but lets take it one step at a time.
Now...run on over to MckMama's and say hello! Happy Not me'ing!
Great Not Me's! My laundry was actually done this week...thanks in part to my super sweet hubby! I SO need to get busy planning my little guy's first birthday too! I have until September, but it will be here before I know it!
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't forget to plan things in advance either. Nope, I never fly by the seat of my pants and just show up. Happy Not Me Monday!
